Role overview

This entry-level to associate business analyst role is based in Singapore River, Central Singapore Community Development Council, Singapore. The position focuses on understanding business processes, collecting and structuring requirements, reviewing data, and helping teams design practical improvements that raise efficiency and overall performance. The role sits at the intersection of business analysis, operations, strategy, and technology solutions, and involves working with stakeholders, project teams, and technical departments to support effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will gather and document requirements from stakeholders and users, then analyze them to support solution development. You will review business data, trends, KPIs, and performance measures to create useful insights for the team. You may also examine current workflows and recommend changes that improve effectiveness and reduce inefficiencies.

Additional duties include preparing business requirement documents, process maps, reports, and presentation materials. You will support project managers and broader project teams with planning, progress tracking, testing, and implementation. You will help with user acceptance testing to confirm that solutions match business expectations, and you will coordinate communication between business teams, developers, managers, and other cross-functional groups. Where needed, you will also provide recommendations based on your analysis to improve business results.

Ideal candidate profile

The preferred candidate has strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, a solid grasp of business processes, and clear communication and documentation skills. Accuracy and attention to detail are important, as is the ability to manage input from multiple stakeholders. An interest in technology, data, and business improvement is also valuable for this role.

Education and knowledge expected

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Knowledge of business analysis methods, process mapping, data analysis approaches, and reporting/documentation practices is expected. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum, project management practices, and requirements management tools is also helpful.

Technical skills preferred

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Basic SQL
  • Power BI or Tableau
  • Business intelligence tools

Experience advantage

Prior internship exposure, academic project work, or any other analytical experience will be considered an advantage.

Career growth

This role can lead to progression into a Business Analyst position, then Senior Business Analyst, Lead Business Analyst or Product Manager, and eventually into Business Transformation Manager or senior strategy leadership roles.
