Role overview
Mission Staffing is seeking a Business Analyst in New York, NY for a hybrid setup with three days on site. The role is suited to a highly analytical, detail-focused professional who can connect business needs with product delivery.
Tools and working environment
The position involves working with AI tools, Linear, Notion, Slack, GSuite, Figma, PowerPoint, and process-mapping tools such as Miro, Lucidchart, and Visio.
Key responsibilities
- Translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Create and maintain documentation that supports engineering teams, testing efforts, and product scalability over time.
- Drive QA and UAT activities, including planning tests, writing test cases, reviewing defects, and confirming fixes.
- Collaborate with design teams to develop wireframes and map out user journeys.
- Work with clients directly, run workshops, and turn feedback into practical product enhancements.
- Use AI-enabled tools to speed up documentation, specification drafting, and test case creation.
Experience and profile
Applicants should bring 4 to 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Delivery, Consulting, or Implementation. Strong capability in requirements gathering, functional specification writing, UAT, QA testing, and traceability is expected. The role also calls for excellent client communication, stakeholder coordination, comfort in fast-moving and uncertain environments, and a high degree of ownership. Experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Credit Operations, or Loan Markets will be considered an advantage.
