Job description
Role Summary
IDR is looking for a Business Analyst to support one of its key clients in Denver, Colorado. This position centers on vendor-managed technology initiatives as well as selected internal application work. The successful candidate will drive requirements activities, act as a bridge between stakeholders, and help ensure projects are adopted smoothly through precise documentation, UAT support, and thoughtful communication and training planning.
Core Responsibilities
- Own and coordinate requirement-gathering efforts for both vendor-led technology projects and internal application initiatives.
- Run discovery meetings, workshops, and follow-up discussions to clarify needs with business teams, vendors, and IT partners.
- Translate business objectives into well-defined, testable artifacts such as BRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Help support release rollout by contributing to communication plans and training plans for end users and stakeholders.
- Assist with production support by sorting through issues, recreating defects, and writing clear bug reports for resolution.
Required Experience
This role calls for at least 5 years of experience in an IT/ITS Business Analyst role or a closely related position such as systems analyst or product analyst. The ideal candidate should have led BA activities on vendor-driven initiatives, managed discovery workshops, partnered with vendor project managers and solution architects to validate scope and dependencies, coordinated UAT planning and feedback loops, tracked defects through closure, and helped define requirements for internal enhancements and smaller projects.
