Budgeting and Reporting Supervisor

Job Summary

The Budgeting and Reporting Supervisor will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities across the organization. The role focuses on bringing together budget inputs, tracking financial results, and supporting performance management with clear analysis.

Strategic Planning, Budget Consolidation, and Monitoring

• Coordinate the preparation and roll-up of the company’s annual budget and multi-year financial forecasts.
• Work with department leaders to collect budget assumptions and ensure they support the organization’s strategic direction.
• Track budget performance during the year and flag any significant differences from plan.

Financial Planning and Budgeting

• Perform scenario-based analysis and build financial models to evaluate how strategic decisions may affect the budget.
• Support budgeting activities while following sound financial practices and applicable regulations.
• Investigate the underlying causes of performance gaps and suggest practical improvements.
• Partner with teams across the business to understand their reporting and data requirements and provide solutions that fit their needs.

Management Reporting

• Prepare recurring management reports that summarize financial results, budget variances, and key operational measures.
• Develop dashboards and KPI reports to support executive decision-making and monitor performance.

Functional Controlling

• Assist functional leaders in managing their budgets and financial outcomes by providing analysis and guidance.
• Create departmental spending and performance dashboards and highlight opportunities for improvement.
• Promote effective cost control and financial management practices across all functions.

Data Analysis

• Gather, examine, and interpret large datasets to uncover trends and meaningful insights.
• Carry out root cause analysis for performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Work with different departments to clarify their data needs and deliver customized support.
