Job description
About Bomber
Bomber creates performance-led apparel and accessories for athletes who are committed to training with purpose and living by the “Never Lay Up” mindset. The brand blends technical performance with a refined premium feel, offering products designed for workouts, recovery, competition, and everyday use. Bomber is intentionally not trend-driven; its focus is on performance first.
As the company grows, it is hiring a Brand Marketing Manager to help express the brand through compelling storytelling, campaigns, community building, partnerships, and content. This position is suited to someone who understands that strong brands do more than produce content—they build momentum.
Role Overview
The Brand Marketing Manager will support awareness, engagement, storytelling, and community expansion across the Bomber brand ecosystem. Working closely with the Chief Creative Officer, this person will help turn brand direction into campaigns, content, partnerships, activations, and real community experiences.
You will influence what Bomber communicates, where it appears, how it connects with audiences, and how it broadens recognition within the performance, wellness, endurance, and training spaces. The role combines strategy, storytelling, copywriting, and hands-on execution.
The ideal candidate is highly inquisitive, inventive, an excellent writer, and always thinking about how to place the right brand in front of the right audience.
Brand, Campaign, and Strategy Work
In this role, you will develop seasonal campaigns and launch plans, create campaign calendars and storytelling structures, and prepare briefs and marketing plans for cross-channel execution. You will also look for new ways to improve awareness, engagement, and brand relevance while regularly bringing fresh ideas and opportunities to leadership. Researching competitors, consumer behavior, and new marketing possibilities will be part of the job.
Content and Social Direction
You will own Bomber’s content strategy and publishing calendar, define content pillars and narrative themes, and identify opportunities for social growth and stronger community interaction. The role also includes recommending new formats, recurring series, and creative concepts, as well as guiding content planning across social media, email, the website, ambassadors, and partnerships.
Copywriting and Brand Messaging
The position requires writing and refining email campaigns, web copy, landing page copy, and campaign messaging. You will also support communication across wholesale, partnership, ambassador, and affiliate channels while keeping the brand voice consistent across every customer touchpoint.
Community Growth and Awareness
You will help expand and manage ambassador and affiliate programs, identify creators, athletes, coaches, clubs, and communities that fit Bomber’s identity, and develop activation ideas, community programs, and partnership opportunities. The role also involves spotting events, experiences, and brand-building opportunities worth pursuing, along with supporting relationship-building across key growth channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
You will work closely with the Chief Creative Officer, Creative Marketing Manager, and Growth Marketing Manager. Part of the job is creating clear creative briefs, aligning campaigns across organic, paid, email, website, partnership, and community efforts, and contributing to reporting, learnings, and future recommendations.
What You Bring
Bomber is seeking someone with 8+ years of experience in brand marketing, content marketing, community marketing, campaign marketing, or a similar role. Strong writing and communication skills are essential, along with a solid grasp of social media, content strategy, creator marketing, and community growth.
You should consistently look for new marketing ideas and unconventional approaches, have experience building campaigns from concept to completion, and be able to balance strategic thinking with strong organization and execution. Experience with consumer, apparel, wellness, sports, or lifestyle brands is preferred, along with a genuine interest in performance apparel, sport, training, wellness, golf, endurance, or athlete culture.
Ideal Fit
This opportunity is best suited to someone who constantly contributes new ideas, spots emerging trends early, thinks beyond traditional marketing channels, and is equally comfortable developing copy and building strategy. You should enjoy understanding consumer behavior, noticing opportunities others may overlook, taking initiative without waiting to be asked, and helping build a brand rather than simply managing one.
Why This Role Matters
This position will play an important part in shaping Bomber’s future. You will help define how the brand story is told, how campaigns are brought to life, how the community grows, and how new customers discover Bomber. The right hire will turn ideas into action and awareness into growth.
Location and Work Setup
The preferred location is Los Angeles or the West Coast. The role offers remote flexibility, but travel is required.
Employment Details
This is a full-time position reporting to the Chief Creative Officer.
Application Materials
Applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, and a portfolio or relevant work samples. Suitable examples include campaigns, content calendars, writing samples, launch plans, social strategies, or related work.
In the cover letter, candidates must answer two prompts: which brand is currently doing marketing exceptionally well and why, and what unconventional marketing idea they would test for Bomber over the next 12 months.
Brand Note
Never Lay Up.
