Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is for a Brand Designer based in Portugal and is being promoted on behalf of a partner company that will handle applications and the next steps in the process.

You will join a globally distributed, developer-focused organization where brand storytelling helps shape how a large community of developers understands and connects with the product ecosystem. The work is centered on turning complex technical ideas into clear, compelling visual communication across digital, print, and experiential channels.

In this position, you will partner with teams across Marketing, DevRel, Success, Enterprise, and Events to create high-impact assets for campaigns, conferences, and community-facing initiatives. A major part of the role is to protect and strengthen a consistent visual identity across every touchpoint while continuously improving the overall quality of design output.

Your designs may range from presentation decks and social content to physical swag and event collateral, and they will play a direct role in how the brand is experienced around the world.

The environment is fast-moving, asynchronous, and highly autonomous, with strong expectations around ownership, experimentation, and proactive contribution. This is a chance to help shape a developer-loved brand with an open-source mindset and international reach.

What you will do

  • Build and refine visual storytelling for presentations, pitch decks, conference assets, print pieces, video materials, and digital campaigns.
  • Work closely with Marketing, DevRel, Success, Enterprise, and Events teams to turn ideas into polished creative deliverables.
  • Create consistent visual narratives across both digital and physical formats while keeping messaging clear and aligned to the brand.
  • Apply and uphold brand guidelines across all outputs so that identity and communication remain consistent worldwide.
  • Own design execution end to end across channels such as print, digital, social media, and event branding.
  • Produce high-quality creative work with strong attention to detail and a clear focus on technical audiences.
  • Bring forward ideas independently, offering creative direction and design solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • Proven professional experience as a Brand Designer or in a closely related design role within a fast-paced, digital-first, or technology environment.
  • Strong hands-on ability with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Experience creating work for multiple output types, including digital, print, and presentation design.
  • Solid grasp of visual storytelling, branding fundamentals, and design systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.
  • Prior experience in asynchronous, remote, or globally distributed teams is highly valuable.
  • Careful attention to detail, including familiarity with print production requirements and specifications.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous settings where priorities and needs can change.
  • A proactive working style with the ability to suggest ideas, iterate quickly, and respond well to feedback.
  • A portfolio that shows brand systems, campaign work, and multi-format design delivery.
  • Interest in developer tools, open-source communities, or technical audiences is a strong advantage.

Perks and benefits

  • Fully remote role with a global-first setup.
  • Equity participation through ESOP.
  • Allowance for home office and technology setup.
  • Health insurance for employees and dependents.
  • Annual off-sites and gatherings with the global team.
  • Flexible work culture with an async-first approach.
  • Yearly budget for learning and professional development.
  • Co-working support or access to WeWork locations worldwide.
  • Opportunity to contribute to widely used developer tools and open-source products.
  • A culture that values autonomy, ownership, and meaningful design impact.
