Job description
Role overview
Cadmus is looking for a Brand & Community Manager who can shape how the company is seen and talked about across the market. The role is about turning Cadmus’s customer support, evidence, and relevance in assessment into a clear, credible presence that reaches the right people in higher education.
This is a practical, wide-ranging position for someone comfortable switching between event delivery, content creation, and community building. You’ll help grow Cadmus’s visibility across social and digital channels, support commercial goals, and make sure the company shows up with quality and consistency.
You will report to the CRO and work closely with the commercial team to help convert reputation into awareness, and awareness into pipeline contribution.
What success looks like in year one
- You have created and delivered an event programme that positions Cadmus in front of the right audience, including conferences, hosted roundtables, and webinars that are purposeful, polished, and worthwhile for attendees.
- You have put in place a reliable content workflow that produces material higher education leaders actually want to read because it is useful, trustworthy, and well crafted.
- You have expanded Cadmus’s brand and community presence across the channels that matter, with social and digital activity that reflects the quality of the business and strengthens reputation.
- You can show that marketing activity is connected to measurable outcomes such as reach, engagement, and contribution to pipeline rather than just volume of activity.
Responsibilities
- Plan, run, and improve events that help Cadmus connect with the right people in the higher education sector.
- Create and publish strong written content that is credible for an informed and questioning audience.
- Build and nurture a community presence that supports brand awareness and engagement.
- Manage Cadmus’s social and digital presence with consistency and good judgement.
- Work closely with commercial colleagues to support broader revenue goals.
- Track and communicate the impact of brand, event, content, and community activity against business outcomes.
- Take ownership of projects end to end and keep delivery moving without heavy supervision.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a broad marketing, brand, or community-focused role covering events, content, and social channels.
- Background in B2B, EdTech, or another sector serving thoughtful, professional buyers is preferred.
- Ability to handle events, write clearly, and build communities with equal confidence.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create content that stands up to scrutiny from intelligent readers.
- Good organisation and self-management, with the ability to deliver programmes independently from start to finish.
- High standards for quality and a preference for producing work that is genuinely valuable rather than merely timely.
- Strong interest in higher education and the people, events, and communities within it.
- Independent, proactive approach with the judgement to identify what needs to be done and act on it.
- Craft and attention to detail across events, content, branding, and community work.
Additional information
Cadmus is still building its marketing function, which means this role offers genuine ownership over channel approach, event presence, and market positioning. You will have direct access to the CRO and the Product Marketer, and you will help shape how the company presents itself externally.
The higher education space has its own calendar, relationships, and important industry gatherings, so becoming familiar with those rhythms will be part of the role. The company’s expansion into the US is still open-ended, and this position will contribute to defining what that looks like rather than simply executing a fixed plan.
