Work Style

The studio is built around in-person collaboration. The most effective work happens side by side through pin-ups, workshops, and model reviews because ideas move faster face to face. The company follows a hybrid rhythm with three days together in the studio, and additional in-person time when projects require it. Flexibility matters, but this position is not fully remote; applicants must be local to one of the studios and able to be onsite regularly.

About the Role

The Bookkeeper / AP Assistant supports the studio’s everyday accounting operations, with a focus on keeping financial processes accurate, orderly, and consistent. The role partners closely with the Accounting Manager and CFO to assist with accounts payable and financial tracking. It suits someone who is highly detail-oriented, well organized, proactive, and eager to strengthen accounting skills while contributing reliably to a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support accounts payable tasks by reviewing, processing, and tracking vendor invoices.
  • Accurately enter financial information into accounting software and related systems.
  • Keep project and vendor records complete, current, and well organized.
  • Help with routine reconciliations and day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
  • Assist with month-end close work, including reconciliations and preparation of reports.
  • Check financial records for accuracy and completeness before they are finalized.
  • Contribute to improving accounting workflows, procedures, and internal processes.
  • Answer internal questions related to invoicing, expenses, and financial tracking.
  • Provide support for ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special initiatives as required.

Qualifications

  • At least 1–3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, ideally in a creative, architecture, or design setting.
  • Familiarity with core accounting concepts; a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Strong precision, organization, and communication abilities.
  • Comfort working on recurring, process-based tasks.
  • Ability to manage several priorities while staying organized.
  • Reliable, self-directed, and capable of working independently.
  • Good command of Excel and Google Workspace tools such as Sheets and Docs.
  • Experience with accounting or ERP platforms; Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is preferred.
