Role overview
Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Canterbury is looking for an experienced, values-led Board Chair to provide governance leadership for a respected Canterbury charity. The role will help guide an organisation that supports people living with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s and contributes directly to meaningful community impact.
What the role calls for
- Substantial governance background, preferably gained as a Chair or Deputy Chair.
- Strong people and stakeholder management abilities, including the confidence to represent the Trust externally.
- Demonstrated capability to lead a Board of Trustees while also guiding and supporting the MSPC Manager.
- Practical judgement, high integrity, and a cooperative leadership approach.
- Personal commitment to the charity’s purpose and the difference it makes in the community.
Time commitment
This is a voluntary position requiring approximately 10–15 hours each month.
