Job description
Role overview
This is a short-term remote contract for a Biology expert who can create, solve, and explain advanced biology problems for model evaluation work. The assignment is designed to support research on large language models and benchmark development.
Work details
The engagement runs for 11 weeks and requires 8 hours of work each day, including 4 hours of overlap with PST. The expected start is immediate on a tentative basis. Compensation is $450 per task after approval.
Key responsibilities
- Develop difficult Biology questions and solutions to test large language models.
- Prepare stepwise answers with clear scientific reasoning.
- Work with LLM researchers on evaluation frameworks and reasoning-focused tasks.
- Contribute to designing new benchmarks across undergraduate to PhD-level Biology.
- Tackle complex biological problems using a structured and logical approach.
- Present Biology concepts in plain language, and use visuals or simulations when helpful.
Eligibility and qualifications
Applicants should have a Master’s degree, a Ph.D., or be currently pursuing a Ph.D. or postdoctoral program in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline. This role is best suited for candidates with strong research ability, analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and the communication skills needed to collaborate effectively in a remote setup.
Tool requirements
