Role overview
This 12-month fixed-term contract sits within Group Billing in Dublin. The role is focused on maintaining a reliable, professional, and customer-centred billing function that protects the integrity of the end-to-end billing process across all market segments and helps ensure a high-quality billing experience for customers.
Key responsibilities
- Handle reference-data updates such as rates, discounts, and promotional changes.
- Carry out bill validation across the main billing platforms.
- Track suspended orders, calls, and overdue unbilled charges, and follow up as needed.
- Run and review bill-cycle volumes and values.
- Respond promptly to billing queries that have been escalated.
- Put and maintain controls in place to reduce the risk of billing inaccuracies.
- Support billing release deployments and confirm that billing functionality meets expected customer requirements.
- Assist with billing-related projects.
- Oversee bill production activity, including print and postage volumes and related costs.
- Manage billing schedules.
- Support bill quality monitoring.
- Handle customer billing complaints.
- Contribute to business continuity activity.
- Support non-standard billing activity.
- Perform invoice reconciliation.
Performance measures
- Reference-data requests are completed on time.
- Billing runs are delivered within target timelines.
- Billing queries are resolved effectively.
- Billing volumes are reconciled accurately.
- Print and postage costs are monitored closely.
- Errors in calls and orders are kept to a minimum.
Required profile
The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of billing systems, billing processes, and related controls, along with strong analytical ability. Experience in the telecoms sector is considered beneficial. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, especially working with large Excel datasets. SQL knowledge would be an advantage. A business or technical degree is preferred.
