Bid Writer
Vargo Group is seeking a proactive and skilled Bid Writer to join their boutique consultancy firm. This remote role, based in the UK, offers a salary of up to £60,000. You will collaborate closely with the Commercial Director, taking charge of the entire bid process. Your responsibilities will include coordinating input from various stakeholders, managing multiple opportunities concurrently, and crafting persuasive, high-quality submissions that meet client needs and procurement standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete bid lifecycle, from initial scheduling and timeline management to ensuring all submission requirements are met for timely and high-quality delivery.
- Coordinate contributions from subject matter experts, delivery teams, and senior management to ensure all proposals align with client needs and procurement regulations.
- Develop clear, customized bid responses centered on winning strategies, transforming complex technical details into engaging narratives designed to achieve maximum scores.
- Critically review and enhance input from contributors, ensuring consistency and quality, and integrating pertinent case studies and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Director to translate bid strategies into effective responses, identifying any deficiencies and providing constructive challenges to content.
- Support buyer communications and maintain a streamlined, cooperative bid management process.
- Actively solicit feedback on submitted bids, participate in post-bid evaluations, and consistently refine content, procedures, and templates for ongoing improvement.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrated experience in bid writing or providing proposal support.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and structural abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in managing diverse stakeholders and competing deadlines within a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- A background in the digital, consultancy, or professional services sectors.
- Superior organizational and communication capabilities, coupled with a strong sense of accountability for written work.
