Role overview
Bela Recruitment is seeking an experienced Bid Writer in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland. This is a permanent position within a business that places real value on well-prepared tenders and has a proven history of securing work through strong bid submissions.
What you will do
In this role, you will take the lead on tender and proposal activity, helping secure contracts across both public and private sector markets. You will manage the full submission journey, from the first opportunity through to final delivery, while coordinating closely with teams across the organisation.
You will work with colleagues in sales, procurement, operations, design, sustainability and finance to gather information, shape responses and ensure every submission reflects the company’s commercial goals and brand standards. The business also has a substantial library of previous bid content and case studies to support your work.
Key duties
- Own the complete bid and tender process from start to finish.
- Analyse tender packs, including PQQs, ITTs, RFQs and framework documents.
- Collect input and responses from internal stakeholders and departments.
- Draft, refine, proofread and format strong tender submissions and supporting materials.
- Keep the bid content library, case studies and standard response documents updated.
- Make sure every submission meets client requirements and is sent before the deadline.
- Manage uploads and submissions on procurement and tender portals.
- Help prepare bid presentations and compile supporting files.
- Track new tender opportunities across relevant sectors and frameworks.
- Contribute to post-tender reviews, feedback analysis and ongoing process improvement.
- Partner with the commercial team on strategic growth opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ proven background in bid writing and tender coordination.
- Excellent written English with a strong eye for detail.
- Well-developed organisation and time-management skills.
- Comfort managing several deadlines at the same time.
- Strong ability with MS Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint, or similar tools.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management capability.
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Previous success in responding to and winning public sector tenders.
