BI Specialist – BigQuery SQL, Looker, LookML

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services is hiring a business intelligence specialist to design, build, and support data-driven solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The role calls for someone who can combine strong data modeling, reporting, and visualization capabilities with modern analytics techniques, including Generative AI and conversational interfaces, to deliver timely insights for business users.

Work model and joiner preference

This is a virtual drive scheduled for 9-Jul-26 from 2 PM to 5 PM. The company is looking for candidates who can join immediately.

Core responsibilities

• Create and support BI solutions using Google Cloud Platform tools such as BigQuery, Looker, and Looker Studio.
• Design, build, and maintain LookML data models that form a stable and governed semantic layer.
• Develop efficient and complex SQL queries in BigQuery for data transformation and analytical use cases.
• Build interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Looker and Looker Studio.
• Convert business needs into clear technical specifications and scalable LookML implementations.

Generative AI and conversational analytics

• Use Generative AI integrated with BigQuery and Looker to create conversational analytics experiences.
• Allow business users to ask questions in natural language and receive clear, real-time answers.
• Set up conversational agents that produce context-aware responses using the Looker semantic layer and BigQuery data.
• Generate automated insights, summaries, and narrative explanations from dashboard and report data.
