Job description
Role Overview
This position is responsible for leading beverage preparation and presentation standards across multiple outlets, with a strong focus on coffee craftsmanship, service quality, and operational consistency. The role sits within a large-scale catering and hospitality environment and supports day-to-day service as well as special events.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure coffee and other beverages are prepared and served consistently across all outlets, with every drink meeting strict quality expectations.
- Build, update, and follow beverage service SOPs so that service delivery remains uniform and dependable.
- Strengthen team performance through ongoing coaching, hands-on support, regular engagement, and progress monitoring.
- Manage the installation, organization, and maintenance of beverage stations to keep service running efficiently during routine operations and events.
- Work closely with culinary and service colleagues to incorporate coffee concepts into menus and event experiences in a creative way.
- Keep all coffee machines, tools, and related supplies in proper working condition and ready for use to prevent interruptions in service.
- Introduce fresh beverage ideas by exploring new brewing approaches and seasonal drink options.
- Carry out routine quality checks in line with the organization’s ISO 9001:2015-based quality framework, while following hygiene and food-handling procedures required by the department and quality policy.
- Coordinate with outlet and event managers so beverage service aligns with business goals and delivers a strong guest experience.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a diploma or certification in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline. A barista certification from a recognized institution such as the Specialty Coffee Association or Barista Guild is preferred.
Experience Required
At least 5 years of professional barista experience in hospitality or catering is required, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or training role within beverage operations. Experience in high-volume environments such as large events and multi-outlet setups is also expected.
