Role summary
This full-time, on-site Bakery Clerk position is based in Lindsay, Ontario. The job is open to 3 candidates and is best suited to applicants who already have retail experience. The role combines bakery production support, customer service, display upkeep, stock handling, and day-to-day store operations.
Working hours
Available shift options for this role are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Compensation
The pay range is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, with the final rate depending on experience.
What you will do
- Support bakery production tasks such as baking and cake decorating to help ensure product quality.
- Greet and assist customers while providing clear, helpful communication.
- Operate the cash register and process debit, credit, and cash payments.
- Help with opening routines for the bakery and store.
- Keep retail areas neat, orderly, and fully stocked.
- Assist with daily bakery and deli activities as needed.
- Follow all food handling and workplace safety rules.
- Contribute to inventory monitoring and stock management.
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail or a bakery setting is required.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities are essential.
- Comfort using POS or cash register systems is needed.
- You should be dependable, punctual, and cooperative within a team.
- Applicants must be able to handle a busy work setting and rotating shift schedules.
