Job description

About the company

Cargo Crew is focused on helping brands grow in a responsible way through the design, manufacture, and supply of modern, high-quality uniforms that people genuinely want to wear. The business is driven by a strong belief in creating value, delivering great service, and producing uniforms that support both the client brand and the people wearing them.

The workplace is described as lively, inspiring, and varied, with an emphasis on innovation, ethical conduct, enthusiasm, openness, execution, and persistence. The company works with people and partners who share those values.

Role overview

The B2B Marketing Lead will report to the Head of Marketing and take ownership of Cargo Crew’s business-to-business marketing strategy. The position exists to help drive acquisition, retention, and revenue growth across important market segments.

Working in close partnership with revenue leaders, the marketing team, and the sales enablement manager, this role will lead sales collateral, go-to-market activity, trade events, industry partnerships, and content marketing. It also includes people management responsibility for the Graphic Designer and oversight of marketing assets and customer-facing materials that improve the offline customer journey and support commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with revenue leaders to shape and implement annual B2B marketing plans that align with wider commercial goals.
  • Lead the development of compelling, brand-consistent sales materials such as presentation templates, catalogues, seasonal guides, and other collateral that supports acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Plan and execute go-to-market activity for new products and major business initiatives, with support from the Client Solutions Manager and Sales Enablement Manager.
  • Coordinate customer resource initiatives that improve the experience and strengthen loyalty, including online order forms, customer portal assets, photo shoots, and look books.
  • Work with the Sales Enablement Manager to improve Hubspot processes for better customer communication, reporting, and marketing insights.
  • Organise trade expos and customer events alongside the Creative Services Specialist and Sales Enablement Manager, ensuring brand consistency and supporting lead generation and nurturing.
  • Assist with tender responses and bespoke proposals by coordinating presentations, case studies, customer references, and supporting collateral.
  • Help run B2B gifting activity, including seasonal campaigns, surprise-and-delight programs, and donation-based initiatives.
  • Manage industry partnerships, including negotiations, use of partner benefits, tracking, and accurate attribution of related sales activity.
  • Own the LinkedIn strategy for Cargo Crew and oversee the development of customer stories, case studies, and thought-leadership content.
  • Manage the B2B marketing budget and provide regular reporting on performance, insights, and areas of opportunity.
  • Keep customer-facing resources current, accessible, useful, and aligned with Cargo Crew’s value proposition.
  • Test new marketing ideas, partnerships, and channels that can generate leads and contribute to business growth.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B marketing, trade marketing, or a similar marketing role.
  • A track record of creating and delivering marketing plans that support acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Experience with go-to-market planning and product launch support.
  • Working knowledge of account-based marketing and relationship marketing approaches.
  • Experience coordinating trade shows, customer events, partnerships, and industry marketing activities.
  • Strong written communication and storytelling ability, including case studies, thought leadership, and customer communications.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders at once.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to turn business goals into practical marketing activity.
  • Confidence building effective working relationships across teams and functions.
  • Advanced PowerPoint capability, including the creation of engaging presentations and reusable templates.
  • Strong familiarity with Hubspot or a comparable CRM platform.
