About The RolesThe primary duties involve foot and vehicle patrols, gatehouse access control, and control room operations. Applicants must possess prior aviation experience.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting patrols of terminal, perimeter, and airside/landside areas.
- Controlling and monitoring access points in accordance with airport security protocols and regulations.
- Operating surveillance, alarm, and communication systems from the control room.
- Performing ID and vehicle checks at gates and critical points.
- Responding to security incidents and escalating them as per standard operating procedures.
- Maintaining accurate logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborating effectively with airport stakeholders, law enforcement, and emergency services.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in aviation security or airport operations.
- A solid understanding of airport security protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional professionalism, keen observation skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities, with the capacity to manage customer interactions calmly.
- The ability to adhere to procedures under pressure in dynamic environments.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong team-oriented approach.
- A NSW Security Licence (minimum 1A).
- ASIC (preferred) or the eligibility to obtain one.
- Cert II in Transport Security Protection (highly regarded).
- Current First Aid & CPR certification.
- White Card; Fire Warden and Traffic Control qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
- An unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence for vehicle patrols.
- Control Room/CCTV certification (preferred for control room roles).
- The ability to successfully pass police, drug, and alcohol checks.
