About the Company
DriveTime Family of Brands is the country’s largest privately owned business focused on used-car sales finance and vehicle servicing. With headquarters in Tempe, Arizona and Dallas, Texas, the company aims to help customers and team members move toward ownership by matching the right customer with the right vehicle on the right terms.
The brand operates dealerships with straightforward pricing and reconditioning centers that refresh pre-owned vehicles for retail. If you enjoy working with drive, precision, and teamwork, this role offers a chance to make a meaningful contribution.
Role Overview
DriveTime is hiring Automotive Detailers right away. In this role, you will help track vehicle maintenance, keep inventory organized, and make cars look clean, polished, and ready for the sales lot.
Key Responsibilities
- Record incoming vehicles when they arrive from auction.
- Move and stage vehicles throughout the reconditioning center so they can be prepared for retail distribution.
- Clean and refresh vehicles by washing, buffing, vacuuming interiors, applying minor paint touch-ups, and caring for other surfaces.
- Use cleaning, protective, and restorative products to improve and preserve vehicle appearance.
- Inspect vehicles and maintain accurate, complete condition records.
- Carry out repairs correctly the first time to reduce rework and production delays.
- Follow safe work practices that reduce the risk of injury from spills and other preventable hazards.
- Partner with reconditioning management to approve or reject inventory based on repair estimates and vehicle quality.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant communicates clearly, listens carefully, pays close attention to detail, and works well in a collaborative shop environment. Reliability and punctual attendance are important for this role.

- 401(k), company-paid life insurance, and short- and long-term disability coverage.
- Strong internal growth opportunities, with many employees promoted each year.
- Tuition reimbursement for continued learning and career development.
- Wellness program with self-guided coaching, rewards, incentives, and medical premium discounts.
- Competitive pay.
- Learn-and-earn opportunity to build earning potential as inventory skills grow.
- No customer-facing work.
- Stable work schedule with Sundays off.
- No regular weekend shifts, except during peak season.
