Job description

Company Overview

Established in 2003, this Dubai-based business operates from the Al Qusais commercial area and focuses on manufacturing switchgear systems as well as trading electrical products. It has built a solid standing in the UAE electrical sector by delivering quality-driven work, maintaining a client-first mindset, and contributing to important government-related projects. The company emphasizes a professional culture, strong customer collaboration, and ongoing innovation as part of its long-term expansion plans in the UAE.

What You’ll Do

  • Engineer, assemble, and commission low-voltage switchgear panels, MCC panels, and control panels in accordance with project requirements and applicable international standards.
  • Create, validate, and implement PLC logic and SCADA/HMI setups for industrial and process automation; Siemens S7 and TIA Portal are preferred.
  • Prepare and check technical paperwork such as schematics, I/O lists, cause-and-effect matrices, FAT/SAT test plans, and operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Work closely with project managers, procurement, and site personnel to keep delivery aligned with schedule and specifications.
  • Visit project sites to oversee installation, support commissioning activities, and deliver client training.
  • Assist with pre-sales and tender submissions by contributing technical recommendations, bill of quantities inputs, and solution definition.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and OEMs, including Siemens, Schneider, and ABB, for product selection and technical clarifications.
  • Spot and report any issues or deviations during fabrication, testing, or site execution.

Candidate Profile

  • For mid-level applicants, a degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a closely related field is required.
  • Practical experience in PLC programming, panel wiring, and testing is essential.
  • A working understanding of industrial communication systems such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP is needed.
  • Exposure to oil and gas or heavy industry projects will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal will receive preference.
  • For senior applicants, the above background is expected along with proven capability to lead technical delivery on multi-discipline assignments.
  • Senior-level candidates should be experienced in managing FAT/SAT activities and dealing directly with clients and third-party inspectors.
  • Ability to coach junior engineers and help maintain internal technical standards is important.
  • Prior work experience in the GCC region is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of IEC, NEMA, and regional utility standards such as DEWA, KAHRAMAA, and ADDC is a plus.
