Role overview
Vision Display Pte Ltd is looking for an AutoCAD Drafter to produce and update technical drawings for project work in Singapore. This position focuses on translating specifications into accurate, code-compliant drafting outputs while coordinating with project and design teams.
Key responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of machinery, engineering methods, mathematics, construction materials, and related physical sciences to prepare drawings.
- Check that drawings are precise, easy to read, and aligned with relevant industry standards and codes.
- Develop detailed drawings based on client requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the project manager and 3D designer to prepare drawings, schematics, and project diagrams.
- Use computer-aided design and drafting tools to build design outputs.
- Prepare new fabrication drawings and revise existing ones when changes are needed.
- Create detailed multi-view product drawings.
- Update drawings to incorporate required modifications.
Requirements
- Must be self-driven and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Should be highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage several active projects while meeting deadlines.
- Need strong understanding of drafting standards, mathematics, and engineering technology.
- Must be careful with details and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Should communicate well and work cooperatively with teams across project, production, and design functions.
- Ability to perform well in a busy, fast-moving, high-volume environment is important.
- A Degree or Diploma in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Building Information Technology is required.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in the construction industry is needed.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3D Max is required.
