Job description
Role Overview
This position focuses on electrical assembly and installation work for heavy vehicles and truck chassis. The role involves fitting wiring systems and electrical parts, checking performance, identifying faults, and ensuring that all work follows engineering drawings, safety rules, and manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit and organize wiring harnesses, electrical parts, and control systems on heavy vehicles and truck chassis as per technical drawings and assembly guidelines.
- Complete wiring and electrical connections for lighting, batteries, sensors, switches, relays, and control panels while maintaining reliability and correct operation.
- Use multimeters and diagnostic tools to test electrical systems and confirm performance against specifications.
- Identify, investigate, and correct wiring and electrical issues during assembly, testing, and production.
- Understand and work from electrical schematics, wiring layouts, and technical documents to support installation and troubleshooting.
- Assist with the installation of vehicle electrical systems, including 12V/24V DC circuits and CAN bus networks where required.
- Make sure installations comply with quality standards, safety requirements, and internal manufacturing procedures.
- Keep tools, testing instruments, and the work area safe, organized, and in good working condition.
- Work with production, quality, and engineering teams to solve technical issues and support process improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Automotive Electrical, or a similar technical field.
- Practical understanding of DC electrical systems in the 12V/24V range and vehicle electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Exposure to CAN bus systems will be considered an advantage.
- At least 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive, heavy vehicle, truck manufacturing, or industrial electrical assembly.
