Job description
Role Overview
This position is part of the procurement, purchasing, and quality assurance function in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It is a full-time, non-management role based on site.
What You’ll Do
- Handle incoming deliveries by unloading, checking, and processing goods against invoices and receiving records.
- Sort merchandise by department, label it correctly for placement, and move it to the right internal area.
- Review incoming stock, maintain inventory records, and prepare inventory logs and reports.
- Compare shipping documents with receiving documentation to confirm quantities and accuracy.
- Receive, store, dispatch, and deliver mail and packages for departments.
- Keep the receiving area secure and ensure packages are stored safely.
- Follow all applicable hazardous-material shipping rules and regulations at the national, state, and local levels.
- Send outgoing mail and parcels.
- Check the quantity and condition of packages before delivering them to guests.
- Coordinate with guests about packages that have been received.
- Maintain an accurate tracking record for all shipping and receiving activity, including obtaining guest signatures for delivered packages.
- Notify management about any package loss or damage.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Follow company standards, maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company property.
- Respond to guest needs professionally, positively, and promptly.
- Communicate clearly, answer calls using proper telephone etiquette, and build effective working relationships.
- Read and verify information visually in different formats, including small print.
- Inspect tools, equipment, or machines visually to identify defects.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Handle objects of different sizes and weights with coordination and dexterity.
- Work in narrow, confined, elevated, uneven, slippery, and stairway areas as needed.
- Bend, twist, reach overhead or below the knees, and perform stooping or pulling movements as required.
- Carry out other duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- No previous related work experience is required.
- No supervisory experience is needed.
- No license or certification is required.
- Ability to follow safety, confidentiality, and company procedure standards.
- Capability to perform physically demanding warehouse and receiving tasks.
