Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. This role will focus on meticulously inspecting butchery and poultry products within our manufacturing facility to ensure strict adherence to all quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Review standard operating procedures (SOPs) and product specifications to fully understand the quality expectations for all butchery and poultry items.
- Conduct quality checks by selecting samples of raw materials and finished products, employing appropriate inspection techniques to assess factors like weight, cut accuracy, temperature control, and packaging integrity.
- Utilize and maintain calibration of measuring instruments, including thermometers, scales, and moisture analyzers, to perform precise quality and safety measurements.
- Examine test results and inspection data to pinpoint any deviations or non-conformities with established food safety and quality standards.
- Document inspection findings, record any non-conformities, and propose corrective actions, ensuring compliance with established quality assurance and food safety protocols such as HACCP and GMP.
- Foster and maintain robust working relationships with production staff and management to guarantee quality compliance throughout the entire manufacturing process.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar capacity within a butchery, poultry manufacturing, or processing environment.
- A solid understanding of manufacturing quality control processes.
- Prior butchery experience or a comprehensive understanding of meat cutting specifications and processing methods is highly advantageous.
- Possession of essential Food Safety Certifications, such as HACCP, GMP, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with meat and poultry quality inspection techniques and food safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments like thermometers, pH meters, and calibrated scales.
- A firm grasp of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) principles and food safety concepts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all inspection tasks.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities to effectively identify and resolve quality-related issues.
- Effective communication skills for seamless collaboration with various teams.
- Ability to make sound decisions, work autonomously, and communicate clearly and effectively.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic is considered a valuable asset.
