Role overview

The Marketing team at Golub Capital is focused on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening the firm’s brand across important stakeholder audiences. Its work spans content, communications, public relations, advertising, events, digital marketing, and creative services, while also partnering closely with firm leadership and internal business groups to align marketing activity with business goals.

As the Associate, Marketing Operations, you will support the Marketing COO and Head of Marketing in running day-to-day department operations and executing key initiatives. The role is centered on building operational discipline through vendor coordination, process design, documentation, cross-functional workflow improvement, and stakeholder management. You will also help ensure smooth execution of budgeting, reporting, department-wide implementations, and executive communications and approvals.

Key responsibilities

  • Help manage the marketing team’s daily operating needs, including budgeting, expense tracking, vendor and resource coordination, and planning support.
  • Coordinate firmwide marketing projects so work is completed on time and communication across stakeholders stays clear and aligned.
  • Create, update, and maintain standard operating procedures and other process documents.
  • Look for opportunities to improve marketing workflows and put more efficient processes in place.
  • Set up meetings, prepare agendas, circulate action items afterward, and follow through on open tasks.
  • Manage marketing updates and approval requests with senior stakeholders to keep messaging consistent and transparent.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leaders and support business and operational planning, as well as progress tracking.
  • Monitor department KPIs, interpret results, and identify where operational performance can be improved.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in marketing operations or a closely related role. This person should be highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working across teams to drive projects forward. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities at once.

Compensation and benefits

For candidates based in New York, the expected base salary range is $100,000 to $120,000 per year. The final offer may differ depending on skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to base pay, the total compensation package may include discretionary awards and a broad benefits package such as medical coverage, financial benefits, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and parental leave. Benefit participation details are shared upon offer. Employment is at-will, and the firm may change base salary or any discretionary compensation program at any time based on individual performance, department or firm performance, and market conditions.
