Position snapshot
This full-time role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at the Nestlé Head Office KSA. The position focuses on serving as the main contact and champion for VMI/CMI customers, with responsibility for delivering accurate, timely execution and a consistently strong customer experience. The role oversees the full replenishment journey for customers and uses systems and processes to proactively meet demand.
Role overview
The Associate Manager, Distributor Inventory Management is expected to improve customer satisfaction by providing dependable service and meeting fulfillment expectations from the customer’s perspective. The role combines analytics, replenishment planning, customer coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to keep inventory at the right level while supporting service goals.
Key responsibilities
- Use customer behavior trends and stockout-risk analysis to support proactive replenishment planning.
- Apply forecasting and replenishment methods to help drive sales and maintain suitable inventory levels at customer distribution centers, using inputs from Demand & Supply Planning, Sales, Customer teams, and service strategy.
- Create optimized replenishment orders in Nestlé or customer VMI/CMI systems, balancing service targets and stock levels through sales history, forecasts, and available inventory information.
- Maintain and manage the VMI technical setup, including data accuracy, system alignment between Nestlé and customer platforms, and updates such as network changes, lead times, delivery expectations, and new product launches.
- Work closely with Physical Logistics, Demand and Supply Planning, Transportation, and Supply Chain Analytics teams to improve distribution cost efficiency.
- Engage professionally with customers to address replenishment issues and concerns while acting as their primary point of contact.
- Ensure customers receive accurate, timely information needed to manage stock-related actions.
- Implement Operational Demand & Supply Review actions so inventory allocation reflects business priorities and customer importance.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience is preferred, ideally in an operational order fulfillment role within a similar market or trade structure.
- Prior exposure to a collaborative customer-facing environment is an advantage.
- Experience in supply chain-related functions such as physical logistics or sales support is beneficial.
- Background in business improvement initiatives is a plus.
- Strong understanding of demand generation, supply chain processes, and finance processes related to pricing.
- Knowledge of logistics activities, including materials handling, picking and delivery, transport optimization, and route planning, is useful.
- A college or university degree is required.
- Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and customer service best practices and solutions is needed.
