Job description
Role Overview
Tech Mahindra is hiring an Associate for HR Compliance in Bengaluru. This position focuses on keeping employment practices aligned with current laws, internal policies, and regulatory expectations across the APJ region.
Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring
- Track employment legislation, labor rules, and compliance obligations across APJ, and evaluate how changes affect the organization.
- Review legal updates and share practical guidance with internal teams to help maintain compliance.
- Assist the HR function with employee lifecycle regulations and statutory compliance matters.
- Drive implementation of new amendments and notifications related to labor and employment law across the organization.
- Help identify operational and regulatory risks on an ongoing basis, and support the creation, tracking, and execution of mitigation plans.
Audits and Risk Reviews
- Carry out regular compliance audits and risk assessments to uncover gaps.
- Support the rollout of corrective measures and compliance best practices to reduce risk exposure.
- Keep accurate records and reports related to audits, findings, and compliance actions.
Training and Awareness
- Contribute to training efforts that strengthen compliance understanding among HR and business stakeholders.
- Prepare learning material on compliance topics and facilitate workshops on employment regulations and good practices.
Stakeholder Management and Advisory
- Coordinate with corporate, legal, and HR partners to ensure employment policies remain consistent with regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance on compliance topics linked to hiring, exits, workplace policies, and employee relations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Applicants should have 4 to 7 years of experience in HR, including 2 to 4 years in HR compliance or a similar function.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations across the APJ region is essential.
- Ability to review complex labor legislation and translate it into practical business advice.
- Experience with legal research is important.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities are required.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills are needed.
- Preferred educational background includes LLB or a master’s degree in Human Resources / MBA.
- Preferred certifications include HR compliance, audit, or ISO-related credentials in the compliance domain.
