This opening is for a Retail Assistant Manager / Assistant Store Leader Trainee. It is a full-time opportunity for someone who enjoys working with a management team and brings prior supervisory experience. The role is available immediately and is designed to provide hands-on leadership development along with competitive pay.

Role Expectations

  • Partner with the Store Leader to guide, coach, and train store employees while delivering excellent customer service leadership.
  • Support hiring and retention efforts by identifying strong candidates, developing future leaders, empowering team members, and improving productivity.
  • Help execute merchandising and marketing initiatives.
  • Handle cash, process fuel-related transactions, and promote the loyalty program.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store by following health and sanitation standards.
  • Communicate clearly in both speaking and writing and work well with others.
  • Use computers comfortably, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks, bend and stand repeatedly, reach as needed, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory or retail management experience is important for this position.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, though it is not mandatory if the candidate has at least 1 year of retail management experience.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license from the state or province of residence and keep automotive liability insurance active throughout employment.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are needed.
  • Proficiency with computers, particularly Microsoft Office applications, is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with retail operations.
