This opening is for a Retail Assistant Manager / Assistant Store Leader Trainee. It is intended for someone who enjoys leading alongside a management team and brings prior supervisory experience. Key responsibilities
- Work with the Store Leader to guide, coach, and train store employees while keeping service standards high.
- Help build a strong team by identifying capable applicants, supporting leadership development, and encouraging productivity and retention.
- Assist with the rollout of merchandising and marketing initiatives.
- Handle cash transactions, fuel transactions, and loyalty program promotion with accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked store by following health and sanitation procedures.
Required qualifications and skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, plus good interpersonal ability.
- Comfort with computers, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Capability to repeatedly bend, stand, and reach, and to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- A valid driver’s license from the state of residence and active automotive liability insurance during employment.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred, though this can be waived for candidates with at least one year of retail management experience.

Pay and application details
The hourly pay range for this role is $18.00 to $24.25. The company notes that compensation, bonuses, commissions, long-term incentives, and benefits are determined at its discretion, subject to applicable law.
