Role overview
This role sits within the India Business function, focused on the Gyne sub-function in Mumbai. The position is centered on managing the product life cycle for the assigned brand portfolio and helping drive business performance through structured planning, cross-functional coordination, and market-led execution.

Key responsibilities
- Build, coordinate, execute, and own strategic as well as operational plans for the brand portfolio so that profitability, market share, and revenue can grow over both the short and long term.
- Lead assigned initiatives that support the business unit in meeting its overall goals.
- Prepare marketing and promotional plans that align with customer needs and product objectives.
- Ensure that marketing strategies are translated into action through coordination with the sales force.
- Gather market intelligence through primary research and direct customer interaction.
- Work with internal and external media partners to deliver campaigns and other brand strategies effectively.
- Train the field sales team and equip them with strong product knowledge, scientific understanding, and communication capability.
- Partner with medical affairs, learning and development, and R&D teams during planning and execution.
- Develop brand plans and go-to-market strategies, including market penetration planning, research, and competitor analysis.
- Carry out SWOT analysis for the product line and guide the sales team in identifying opportunities for growth.
- Create promotional brand materials such as visual aids, leave-behinds, newsletters, flipcharts, and digital initiatives including websites, apps, and webinar programs.
- Organize meetings, scientific symposia, CME programs, and conferences to strengthen brand visibility among healthcare professionals and hospitals.
- Support team motivation through training camps, awards, and recognition initiatives.
- Handle product forecasting, new product pipeline planning, pre-launch and launch strategy, and post-launch growth initiatives.
Work scope and interactions
The role involves internal coordination with BD, Medical, other cluster teams, Purchase, and Admin. External engagement includes vendors and agencies. The geographical scope is pan-India.
Qualifications and experience
The preferred academic background is B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or MBA. The role calls for 3 to 4 years of experience, ideally in product management within the pharmaceutical industry.
