Job description

Role overview

This role sits within the supply chain planning team for OBFS and focuses on coordinating demand and supply management, inventory control, and related growth and support initiatives. The position works across functions to shape a reliable demand plan and build a practical supply plan that supports high customer service while keeping the cost to serve efficient.

The role also partners with stakeholders across the value chain and helps drive performance against key planning measures such as customer service, forecast accuracy, inventory, and budget control.

Demand management

  • Analyse demand patterns and improve forecast accuracy using established planning methods such as statistical modelling, consumption review, event-based planning for launches and promotions, and collaborative planning and replenishment.
  • Bring operations, sourcing, and brand teams into alignment so that the integrated operating plan supports business and financial objectives.

Supply management

  • Develop the supply plan together with Sales, Brand, Sourcing, Operations, and suppliers so that demand needs are met, service levels stay strong, and inventory targets are achieved.
  • Monitor supply plan delivery and, when supply becomes constrained, lead prioritisation steps and action planning to reduce the impact on customer service.
  • Maintain accurate supply chain settings and data in enterprise resource planning and supply planning systems.
  • Work closely with Tech, Finance, Sourcing, Logistics, and other teams to strengthen supply planning outcomes.

Inventory management

  • Prepare inventory scenarios and analyses to reduce short shelf-life, excess, ageing, and obsolete stock, supporting better cash flow and stronger profit outcomes.
  • Drive inventory optimisation in partnership with other departments.

Supply chain excellence projects

  • Support strategic initiatives such as new product introductions, cost improvement work, digital transformation, and distribution centre excellence programmes.

Experience and requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant supply chain management experience in retail or FMCG.
  • Hands-on background in managing end-to-end demand and supply forecasting and execution with multiple stakeholders such as sales, marketing, and finance.
  • Experience in root-cause analysis and scenario modelling is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain concepts, statistical forecasting, and integrated demand and supply planning.
  • International trade knowledge is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP and advanced planning tools, with a strong interest in using technology to improve productivity and operational excellence.
  • Sound business judgement and the ability to connect commercial and customer strategies to supply chain operating goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with careful attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
  • Ability to turn data insights into diagnoses, actions, and solutions.
  • Proven capability to work collaboratively, gain alignment across functions, and deliver independently toward business goals.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage several priorities and deadlines at once.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation ability, with the confidence to engage across business units and levels.
