Assistant Manager, Identity & Access Management

Job purpose

This role supports the day-to-day management of enterprise identity platforms and access control services. The Assistant Manager, Identity & Access Management helps ensure that authentication services are dependable, identities are managed throughout their lifecycle, and access governance is applied consistently across digital and enterprise systems.

The position is centered on directory services, identity lifecycle processes, authentication tools, and identity governance platforms. It works closely with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and workplace teams to keep identity services secure and to provide controlled access to applications and services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the operational administration of enterprise directory services, including Active Directory and cloud identity platforms.
• Help maintain the stability and availability of directory services that support enterprise authentication and authorization.
• Manage directory configurations that support the organization’s identity infrastructure.
• Support identity lifecycle activities such as user provisioning, updates, and de-provisioning across enterprise systems.
• Ensure lifecycle operations follow internal access governance requirements.
• Assist in the administration of authentication solutions used to secure access to systems and applications.
• Help keep authentication services stable across enterprise platforms.
• Support Identity Governance and Administration platforms used for access governance and identity management.
• Help maintain access review, access certification, and role-based access processes.
• Support the rollout of access controls across enterprise systems through identity platforms.
• Work with infrastructure and application teams to apply identity-based access controls consistently.
• Assist in managing privileged access mechanisms for administrative access to enterprise platforms.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity and IT compliance teams to keep privileged access aligned with security standards.
• Support integration of identity platforms with enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, and collaboration services.
• Ensure identity services connect effectively with applications and infrastructure platforms.
• Monitor identity platforms to help maintain service availability and operational stability.
• Assist in investigating and resolving incidents affecting identity and authentication services.
• Work with cybersecurity and IT governance/compliance teams to implement identity security controls aligned with internal frameworks.
• Support identity-related policies, standards, and regulatory requirements across enterprise systems.
• Prepare identity platform reports and operational data for audits, compliance reviews, and governance checks.
• Coordinate remediation actions for identity-related compliance issues.
• Help implement and maintain IAM processes and operating standards across enterprise platforms.
• Ensure provisioning, access reviews, and access approvals follow organizational policies and security requirements.
• Maintain documentation for identity management procedures and operational workflows.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and workplace teams to ensure identity services support enterprise platforms and digital services.
• Provide operational support across identity platforms to maintain secure access to enterprise systems.
• Coordinate with vendors that support identity platforms and identity governance technologies.
• Support the lifecycle and operational maintenance of identity management systems.
• Work with internal technology teams, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure IAM services meet organizational needs.
• Support coordination across operations, security, and governance teams to keep access to enterprise services reliable and secure.
