Role Overview
Alzheimer’s Queensland is hiring experienced and caring Assistants in Nursing to support residential aged care teams at two locations: Windsor Aged Care Services and Rosalie Nursing Care Centre in Brisbane, Queensland. This is a full-time onsite role with 2 available casual openings — one at Windsor and one at Rosalie — covering morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
You will work under the direction of Registered Nurses to help residents with everyday living tasks and deliver safe, respectful, and person-centred support that enhances wellbeing and quality of life.
The pay rate is $43.24 per hour, plus 12% superannuation and salary packaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care and everyday living activities.
- Help with mobility, hygiene, meals, and comfort needs.

- Carry out care plans and follow clinical instructions from nursing staff.

About You
The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and focused on resident wellbeing. You should be confident working in residential aged care and able to contribute to a collaborative care environment.
Availability and Application Notes
- Applicants must have valid Australian working rights.
- A Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or an equivalent qualification is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in residential aged care is needed.
- Knowledge of dementia care and person-centred care approaches is important.
- You must be able to work morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities are expected.
- You should bring a compassionate, reliable, and resident-first attitude.
- Experience following care plans and organisational procedures is required.
- A current National Police Check is required.
- Applicants must be willing to work across weekdays and weekends.
- Candidates able to commit to a minimum of 3 to 4 shifts per week will be given preference.
- Weekend-only availability will not be accepted.
