Role Overview

The Assistant Facilities and Support Manager plays an important role in keeping the school environment operating smoothly. This position oversees building upkeep, supports school programs and events, and helps ensure that all operational services are delivered to a high standard in line with accreditation and evaluation requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of buildings, courtyards, and playgrounds to spot technical concerns and work with the Facilities Department’s technical teams to get issues resolved quickly.
• Track the execution of preventive maintenance plans for school assets and systems, including CCTV, HVAC, electrical installations, furniture, and plumbing.
• Create a housekeeping timetable, allocate duties to cleaning personnel, and supervise day-to-day cleaning activities to uphold hygiene, health, and safety standards throughout the campus.
• Review cleaning staff attendance each day, make sure personal hygiene and grooming standards are followed, and address any team-related issues that arise.
• Maintain sufficient quantities of cleaning materials and submit replenishment requests to the Facilities Manager before supplies run low.
• Work with school division heads and the Activities Department to remain updated on upcoming events that need facilities support.
• Coordinate with the technical teams to arrange logistical support for school events and activities, and remain on site during events to provide immediate assistance when required.
• Partner with the Safety and Security Team to help implement emergency response, evacuation, and safety procedures across the school.
• Take part in institutional evaluation activities and provide precise data whenever needed.
• Prepare recurring reports on facilities performance to support ongoing improvement efforts.
• Contribute to School Improvement Plans relating to infrastructure and operational support.
