Nooworks is a California-based apparel label that is independently owned and woman-led. The brand collaborates with artists to make bright, size-inclusive clothing intended to make getting dressed feel joyful. All garments are produced in small runs in California, with a focus on sustainability and careful local manufacturing. The company’s creative philosophy centers on clothing that is expressive, imaginative, and fun.
Role Overview
Nooworks is hiring a Part-Time Content & Photography Coordinator in Berkeley, CA, offering starting pay of $30.00 per hour. The schedule is 24 hours per week across 3 shifts weekly, with availability needed Monday through Friday and flexibility appreciated. This is an in-house creative position that supports photography and social content for the brand’s website, email marketing, and social channels.
The role partners closely with the Founder, Chief Brand Officer, and Marketing & Content Manager. It combines hands-on photography production with content execution, studio coordination, and operational support. The team is looking for someone highly resourceful, creative, reliable, and comfortable working with a DIY mindset to make things happen quickly and effectively.
The work is fast-paced and highly collaborative. Much of the content is currently created using iPhones, so strong instincts for visual storytelling, speed, and flexibility are especially important. In some cases, DSLR or more advanced camera capture may also be used when the work calls for it. Turnarounds are often very short, sometimes within 1–2 days, and the position may occasionally require jumping into shoots on short notice.
Key Responsibilities
This position blends creative production with studio operations. The coordinator will handle product photography, assist with editorial content, and help keep shoots organized and on schedule.
- Produce ecommerce product photography for both on-model and off-model shots in a studio environment.
- Support editorial shoots and broader content creation, with much of the work captured on iPhone.
- Photograph, edit, and deliver finished photo and video assets using iPhone tools and mobile editing apps within rapid production timelines.
- Prepare products for shoots by pulling, steaming, arranging, and organizing items.
- Handle shoot setup and breakdown, including equipment, products, and studio space.
- Follow shot lists carefully and execute them efficiently and accurately.
- Keep products organized before, during, and after each shoot.
- Fold, pack, and return all post-shoot product go-backs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoot-ready studio, including props and photography supplies.
- Support a fast-moving production process and help keep deliverables on track.
- Brainstorm and contribute to ad concepts, editorial direction, and campaign ideas.
- Collaborate on monthly product launches and marketing efforts.
- Ensure creative output stays aligned with the brand’s tone and visual identity.
- Balance idea generation with precise execution of assigned tasks.
- Work effectively in a team where priorities can change quickly.
- Communicate clearly, directly, and constructively with coworkers.
- Appear on camera occasionally when needed for content creation.
Qualifications
- Prior photography experience is required.
- Ability to photograph both products and people in a studio setting.
- Comfort working with iPhone capture and editing for content production.
- Strong capability with mobile photography and editing tools, with the ability to produce polished final assets entirely in mobile workflows.
- Experience working in a high-speed content environment with tight deadlines, often turning around completed assets in 1–2 days.
- Excellent organization and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities while handling multiple tasks.
- Creative mindset with the confidence to contribute ideas and take ownership of production work.
- Strong communication skills and an open, intentional approach to collaboration.
- Self-driven attitude with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
- Interest in fashion, styling, social media, and visual storytelling.
