Job description
Role overview
We are looking for an Asset Management Associate to join a Denver office of a leading national real estate investment platform. The organization has more than 35 years of experience and has completed billions in transactions. Its portfolio includes a broad mix of market-rate multifamily assets, from urban high-rise properties to suburban garden-style communities, as well as specialized neighborhood concepts. The firm is known for a disciplined, data-led investment approach, strong operational execution, and early adoption of property technology.
In this role, you will do more than monitor performance data. You will help create value across an assigned portfolio by working closely with senior leaders, the acquisitions group, and regional operations teams to carry out property-level business plans.
What you will do
- Maintain detailed asset-level financial models, cash flow forecasts, internal valuations, and hold-versus-sell analyses.
- Support annual budgeting and track how each asset performs against original underwriting assumptions and KPI targets.
- Assist with recapitalization, refinancing, and disposition work as investment plans mature.
- Visit properties, review capital improvement work, and partner with property management teams to improve net operating income.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings 2 to 4 years of experience in real estate asset management, investment banking, or a similar analytical function. Background in multifamily or residential assets is a strong advantage, though a solid foundation in real estate financial analysis is most important. Advanced Excel modeling ability is essential, and experience with institutional real estate systems such as Yardi is preferred.
You should hold a bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or another related business discipline. The role also calls for a data-focused mindset, along with the ability to explain financial analysis clearly to senior stakeholders and present it in an executive-ready format. Success in this position requires comfort working in a collaborative environment that blends institutional discipline with an entrepreneurial, technology-forward culture.
