Overview

This opportunity is shared on behalf of a partner employer, which will handle the application review and all subsequent hiring steps. The ideal candidate is based in Germany.

The role calls for an Art Director who can create striking, high-impact visual work for branding, campaigns, and digital content in fast-paced restaurant and retail environments. You will turn marketing direction and audience insights into compelling creative assets across several channels, combining strategic thinking with practical design execution. Ownership spans the full lifecycle of projects, from early concept development to final delivery. Success in this role depends on close collaboration with designers, writers, and strategists, along with the ability to thrive in a feedback-rich, deadline-driven setting. This is a distributed position where independence, cultural sensitivity, and strong creative judgment matter.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and deliver original creative concepts for campaigns, brand work, social content, and multi-channel marketing efforts.
  • Convert marketing strategies and audience insights into visual direction, sketches, storyboards, and finished creative pieces.
  • Own projects from the first idea through final production while maintaining creative consistency and quality.
  • Confidently share concepts and design rationale with internal stakeholders and clients, then refine work based on feedback.
  • Work closely with designers, copywriters, and strategists to improve ideas and expand creative possibilities.
  • Stay current on cultural trends, advertising standards, and platform-specific creative expectations.
  • Take part in ideation sessions and help raise the overall quality of the team’s output.

Requirements

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in advertising, creative agencies, or brand-led design roles.
  • Strong conceptual ability paired with advanced visual design skills and a compelling portfolio.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and similar tools.
  • Comfort using AI tools to support ideation, creative refinement, and production workflows.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and deliver excellent work under pressure.
  • Clear communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain creative thinking effectively.
  • Ability to work independently in a distributed, remote-friendly environment.
  • Strong collaboration and brainstorming skills in cross-functional settings.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and a sharp eye for detail and execution.
