Role Overview
This opportunity is for an Area Sales Manager to oversee sales activity across the Australian market, based in NSW. The position suits a driven, ambitious professional who enjoys working in a competitive capital equipment sales environment and is ready to grow within a fast-moving industry.
The role calls for someone who can manage a challenging territory, build business momentum, and deliver strong commercial results in a market known for its difficulty and high rewards.
Key Responsibilities
You will take responsibility for sales results and territory expansion within your assigned region in Australia.
- Create and implement sales strategies that help achieve revenue goals and strengthen Sciton’s market position.
- Identify prospects, run persuasive presentations, and deliver effective product demonstrations.
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders such as plastic surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to support customers after the sale and resolve issues quickly.
- Share market intelligence and customer feedback with Field Service and corporate teams to help improve products and processes.
- Actively manage the territory by pursuing new opportunities while expanding existing accounts.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is a self-motivated sales professional who is focused on results, customer service, and long-term success.
- Demonstrated success in selling capital equipment, preferably in medical or aesthetic markets.
- Hands-on experience with ROI-based selling approaches and the ability to explain value clearly to different audiences.
- Strong customer orientation and the ability to create lasting client relationships.
- Evidence of high sales achievement, such as President’s Club, Rookie of the Year, or similar recognition.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Long Island territory while managing a demanding schedule.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent practical experience may be accepted for standout sales performers at national or international level.
- Background in professional sports or another highly competitive, high-performance setting is strongly appreciated.
- Even if you have not sold capital equipment or medical devices before, strong ambition, a learning mindset, and alignment with the company’s expectations may make you a fit.
Compensation and Benefits
The package includes a competitive base salary, monthly car allowance, and access to equity or stock incentive programs as well as profit-sharing bonuses, where eligibility conditions apply.
The role also offers a strong commission structure with performance-linked bonuses, commission accelerators, and periodic sales incentive programs during the year.
Overall earning potential is designed to be attractive, with base pay accounting for at least 50% of expected annual earnings. Final compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.
