Overview
An established multidisciplinary consultancy in Dublin is looking for a skilled Architectural Technician to support a broad mix of medium and large-scale projects. This position suits someone who is confident in technical design, project coordination, and construction-stage delivery, and who understands the Irish construction environment well.
The role involves contributing to high-quality project outcomes across several sectors, working closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, technically capable, and comfortable managing several priorities at once.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate detailed technical and construction drawings.
- Support projects from detailed design through tender and construction phases.
- Attend site inspections and provide technical input during construction.
- Handle RFIs and liaise with contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Help ensure work meets Irish Building Regulations and BCAR obligations.
- Coordinate architectural work packages within a BIM/Revit workflow.
- Assist with resolving technical and construction-related challenges as they arise.
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver strong project results.
- Provide guidance or support to junior colleagues when needed.
- Keep multiple projects moving efficiently while meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Architectural Technician in Ireland is essential.
- Solid background in construction and site delivery.
- Good working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations.
- Understanding of Technical Guidance Documents (TGDs).
- Familiarity with BCAR compliance and inspection procedures.
- Strong ability in construction detailing and coordination.
- Advanced proficiency with Revit and BIM tools.
- Clear communication and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in aviation, industrial, education, transportation, or judicial/public sector projects is preferred.
- Prior involvement in large-scale or highly regulated projects would be an advantage.
