Role Summary

The Architectural Interior Designer will focus on healthcare-related interior projects, collaborating closely with architects, planners, and project managers to craft functional and visually engaging spaces. Responsibilities encompass space planning, developing interior design concepts, selecting materials and finishes, and generating schematic, design development, and construction documentation aligned with project specifications and client standards. The position also involves coordinating furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), supporting construction documentation efforts, and aiding project coordination during both design and implementation phases. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Atlanta, Georgia, requiring regular collaboration with local teams and client interactions.

Qualifications

  • Proven proficiency in interior design and FF&E selection tailored to healthcare environments.
  • Expertise in space planning and coordination aligned with architectural layouts to ensure efficient, code-compliant designs.
  • Experience in preparing and interpreting construction drawings and technical documentation for design and build processes.
  • Competence with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, along with standard office applications.
  • Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills for presenting design concepts internally and to clients.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines within a multidisciplinary, on-site setting.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline; professional licensure or NCIDQ certification is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in healthcare or commercial interior design, with knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry best practices preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in the field.

Additional Information
