About the opportunity

Bayview Trucks & Equipment Ltd. is a full-service dealer for Kenworth trucks and KUBOTA farm and construction equipment, covering parts and sales. The company is recruiting Apprentice Truck Technicians for locations across New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Compensation will depend on certification level and prior experience. Relocation support can be offered to the right candidate, and the employer emphasizes support for work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the diagnosis and repair of medium- and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including engines, drivetrains, electrical components, steering, electronics, brakes, and suspension systems.
  • Work out the parts needed to complete repairs after units have been disassembled.
  • Carry out all stages of preventive maintenance.
  • Recognize warranty-related repairs and record them on the repair order.
  • Test-drive vehicles when required to confirm faults or ensure repairs have been completed successfully.
  • Be available for after-hours emergency service coverage.
  • Contribute positively in a team setting while maintaining a professional, cooperative attitude.
  • Keep the work area tidy and follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • College certification in Truck & Transport or Heavy Equipment Service Technician, with at least Block 1 completed.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, or as permitted under provincial workplace health and safety standards.
  • Willingness to keep learning and continue training.
  • Clean driver abstract and criminal reference check.
  • Basic computer ability, including use of Windows-based software.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a service environment.
