Job description
Overview
This internship is designed for motivated students who want practical exposure to venture capital. The program runs for a minimum of 3 to 4 months and offers close collaboration with experienced investors focused on the Southeast Asia VC ecosystem. Interns will build a strong understanding of the venture capital business, gain insight into the SEA startup landscape, and work on real investment-related tasks. Participants are treated as part of the team throughout the program, and strong performers may be considered for a full-time role.
This opportunity can be structured as a full-time or part-time internship, based on the student’s needs.
Expected Outcomes
- Develop the ability to identify potential investment opportunities on your own.
- Learn how to evaluate opportunities using screening criteria and apply them accurately.
- Build confidence in meeting startup founders and asking thoughtful, relevant questions.
- Contribute to commercial due diligence with support from the investment team.
- Carry out industry research with guidance from the investment team.
- Gain exposure to deal sourcing, deal screening, commercial due diligence, portfolio management, term sheets, and investment memos.
Requirements
- You must currently be an undergraduate or master’s student at a leading university in Singapore.
- Good familiarity with current technology trends, financial language, and basic investment ideas is important.
- You should be genuinely interested in building a career in venture capital.
- Strong curiosity and the ability to learn quickly are essential.
- You should be capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
