  • Provide planning guidance and expert advice for estimating suitable aircraft types for specific loads.
  • Thoroughly review aircraft weight and balance records, along with cargo manifests.
  • Determine the precise quantity of cargo and passengers or troops to be loaded and their optimal placement within the aircraft.
  • Calculate and manage load and cargo distribution accurately.
  • Compute weight and balance, specifying the exact weight for each compartment or station, considering factors like fuel load, structural integrity, and essential emergency equipment.
  • Utilize military systems such as the Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS) and Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) to generate load plans for USAF cargo aircraft.
  • Collaborate closely with US Army units and Air Force Loadmasters to guarantee correct cargo loading onto aircraft.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

  • Possess at least two years of experience operating the Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS) and/or Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES); ICODES experience is particularly valued.

  • Possess strong judgment and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Function effectively as a self-starter, capable of working independently for extended periods without direct supervision.
