Air Compressor Service Engineer

Role overview

This position is a full-time opportunity for a Compressor Service Engineer based in Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland. The role combines work at the Airpower site with visits to customer premises, so it requires both on-site presence and time spent in the field.

What the role involves

You will handle the installation, fault-finding, servicing, and repair of compressed air systems and pneumatic equipment. The job also includes giving customers technical assistance, resolving equipment issues efficiently, and helping ensure all systems run at the highest practical level of performance.

Along with practical service work, you will be expected to communicate with clients, investigate problems, record completed work, and deliver service that meets the company’s quality expectations.

Skills and experience expected

The ideal candidate should be confident in diagnosing faults in compressed air and related equipment, comfortable carrying out maintenance and repairs on customer sites, and capable of offering timely technical support. Strong communication skills are important, along with the ability to explain technical matters in a clear and professional way.

A solid understanding of maintenance and repair across pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems will be useful. You should also be able to work on your own, make sound decisions under pressure, and adapt to field-based work. Experience in the pneumatic or industrial equipment sector would be an advantage.
