Job description
Role overview
Nevoya is a next-generation electric trucking carrier in North America, using AI-first operations to improve logistics while delivering zero-emissions carrier services to major enterprise shippers. The company operates in California and Texas and is supported by well-known investors such as Lowercarbon Capital.
As an AI Product Manager, you will lead the end-to-end discovery, design, and delivery of AI-driven products and workflows that make freight operations more intelligent and efficient. This role sits at the intersection of product, engineering, and operations, with a strong emphasis on solving real operational problems, shipping quickly, and building solutions that work reliably in production.
You will report to the VP of Product and AI and collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to take AI capabilities from concept to launch. In addition to shipping product, you will help shape product operations and support the company’s broader AI enablement efforts as the platform evolves. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys building from the ground up, is comfortable moving between strategy and execution, and wants meaningful ownership early.
Location and employment
This is a full-time hybrid role based in San Francisco.
Compensation
Expected compensation is $110K to $130K.
Key responsibilities
- Lead AI-related product work from early discovery through launch, working closely with engineering.
- Spot and rank opportunities where AI can create measurable value across freight workflows, then turn them into a practical roadmap.
- Run user research, synthesize insights, and use them to determine which problems are worth solving with AI.
- Write clear product requirements and define success metrics for AI features, keeping the team focused on outcomes.
- Work with engineering to convert complex logistics challenges into dependable, production-ready AI products.
- Help shape Nevoya’s wider AI direction as the capability matures.
- Support the setup of product operations, including release management, feedback loops, and cross-functional working rhythms.
- Act as the voice of the customer for operators by spending time close to real freight workflows before defining tools and AI features.
- Build tools and workflows that improve how AI products are evaluated, released, and monitored after launch.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure launches go smoothly and adoption is strong.
- Explain product decisions, trade-offs, and direction clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Candidate profile
We are looking for a hands-on product builder with 3 to 6 years of product experience, ideally with an emphasis on AI operations, and a history of delivering in fast-changing environments. The right person has direct exposure to building, shipping, or operationalizing AI-powered products or workflows, and is comfortable working closely with engineering from concept to execution.
You should be able to dig into operations-level problems, collaborate with dispatch, drivers, leadership, and other teams, and develop solutions that support both business goals and day-to-day execution. Comfort with ambiguity, strong systems thinking, and the ability to bring order to early-stage or scaling environments are essential.
The role also requires strong data fluency, the ability to define and interpret metrics, and the judgment to make evidence-based decisions. You should be able to align competing stakeholders, communicate clearly in writing and in conversation, and show genuine curiosity about applying emerging AI capabilities to practical logistics challenges.
Preferred background
- Experience in mobility, logistics, trucking, or carrier operations.
- Experience in a Series A or early-stage startup where product and operational foundations were being built from scratch.
- Practical familiarity with evaluating, deploying, and monitoring AI products in production.
- Experience using agents or agentic workflows to scale operations.
- Exposure to establishing or improving product operations practices in a growing team.
Equal opportunity
Nevoya is committed to building diverse teams and maintaining an inclusive workplace. Qualified applicants are considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic. Applicants who are excited about the mission but do not match every qualification are still encouraged to apply.
