Overview
Handshake is looking for motivated people who are currently studying at the Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s level, as well as graduates, to support AI research work alongside leading AI labs. In this role, you will use your academic background to help strengthen the capabilities of large language models (LLMs) in specific subject areas.
Role Details
- This is a remote role that can be done asynchronously, allowing you to work independently from any location.
- You will contribute to short-duration AI training assignments, and there is no required minimum number of working hours.
- Typical tasks may include creating prompts tailored to a domain and reviewing or rating LLM outputs.
- This opportunity also offers a chance to build new skills while supporting AI work across different fields.
- Assignment to a project depends on whether a suitable project is available.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Open to current Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s students, as well as individuals who have already completed their degrees.
- Strong focus on accuracy and the discipline to carefully follow detailed instructions.
- Comfortable working remotely in an asynchronous setting with AI research teams.
- Confident that their knowledge and reasoning ability can provide meaningful challenge to advanced AI systems.
Work Authorization
Students on F-1 visas may qualify for certain projects if they are eligible for CPT or OPT. Candidates should confirm their status with their Designated School Official. If the institution requires a CPT course, this opportunity may not satisfy that requirement. STEM OPT is not supported.
