Role Overview
The company is seeking an experienced Aero Commodity Buyer to join the Aero Maintenance and Modification procurement team. In this position, you will support purchasing activities related to avionics equipment and systems, as well as other connected commodities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal stakeholders to define subcontracting statements of work.
- Handle RFQs from supplier shortlisting through to presenting outcomes to a cross-functional team.
- Carry out supplier agreement negotiations when needed.
- Spot opportunities to reduce costs and contribute to new product development support.
- Maintain and strengthen supplier relationships.
- Lead action plans aimed at improving KPIs with underperforming suppliers.
Candidate Profile
This role calls for a procurement professional with substantial experience, ideally backed by exposure to the aerospace sector. The position also requires strong communication and negotiation capabilities, comfort working under pressure, and the ability to operate independently while remaining effective within project teams. Fluency in both written and spoken English and French is required. Advanced use of MS Office is expected, and familiarity with SAP would be an advantage.
