Job description

Overview

An opportunity has become available for a 6-month secondment in the Administrator position within the Corporate Workforce and OD team. This group manages a broad and varied workload at pace, so the role calls for someone with well-developed administrative capability and strong organisational habits.

The post is based at Cobbett House on the Oxford Road Campus in Manchester, with a hybrid setup that combines on-site attendance and remote working. The part-time timetable can be arranged flexibly across Monday to Friday, within standard office hours.

What the role involves

You will support the Corporate Services HR team by delivering a complete administrative service. Day-to-day work will include entering data, issuing standard correspondence, arranging meetings, and providing a first point of contact or general support to colleagues with administration tasks.

This role is important to the smooth running of trust-wide systems and processes, including areas that affect services beyond HR. It therefore needs someone who is highly organised, able to work efficiently, and confident suggesting ways to improve administrative processes.

What you need to bring

Applicants should already have experience in an administrative setting and be comfortable using common Microsoft Office and collaboration tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. A solid grasp of everyday office procedures, strong communication skills, and good interpersonal ability are also essential.

You should be able to organise and prioritise your workload effectively, work well within a team, and contribute to a fast-moving service environment.
