Job Summary

Canvas is seeking a dedicated Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. This role involves managing organizational schedules, coordinating meetings, maintaining databases, and providing essential HR support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage organizational schedules and calendars to ensure efficient operations.
  • Facilitate and de-conflict appointments and commitments, coordinating meetings and conferences.
  • Develop, maintain, and update databases and rosters, including proofreading correspondence and distributing mail.
  • Organize and prepare for meetings and conferences, creating agendas, scheduling, preparing venues, and tracking action items.
  • Maintain official bulletins, displays, and announcements.
  • Serve as an alternate Unit Personnel Coordinator, assisting with the onboarding and offboarding of military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
  • Support Human Resources functions, including operating systems like MILPDS, MyFSS, BLSDM, and Military Leave Web.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree with over 10 years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience with customer approval.
  • Active Secret security clearance required, with eligibility for Special Access Programs.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated technical writing capabilities.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience with MILPDS, MyFSS, and BLSDM systems.
  • Experience as a Test Conductor for military systems.

Additional Information

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for most positions.

Final compensation is determined by factors including relevant experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
