Job description
Position summary
This role supports day-to-day store operations by providing administrative help across multiple departments. The right candidate will be highly organized, attentive to detail, comfortable communicating with a variety of people, and focused on delivering a strong customer service experience.
What you will do
- Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and other routine inquiries, then route them to the appropriate person when needed.
- Welcome visitors, customers, clients, and vendors in a courteous and professional way.
- Assist different teams with standard requests, routine follow-ups, and special projects as assigned.
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, and correspondence while keeping records and databases accurate and up to date.
- Maintain filing systems and keep office supplies stocked and organized.
- Help keep the office clean, orderly, and presentable for employees and guests.
- Support planning and coordination of events, including boat shows, in-store events, and off-site sales or customer activities.
- Take on other job-related tasks as assigned.
Skills and qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Good planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Attention to detail and comfort handling routine administrative tasks.
Physical requirements
This position may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing, repetitive hand and wrist movements, communication with others, and tasks that require careful review of accuracy and detail. Hearing, talking, seeing, and hand-eye-foot coordination are regularly needed. The role is based in an indoor office setting with controlled temperatures. It is classified as light work, with the ability to move objects up to 20 pounds.
